Beloved 10-Year-Old Boy Who Battled Rare Cancer Passes Away – His Family Is Asking For Prayers


10-year-old Lewis Bryant passed away on Wednesday after his battle with a rare form of bone cancer. He was diagnosed earlier this year with the disease, however Lewis’ family and community helped give the young boy their full support throughout his final days.

According WSAZ News, Lewis was diagnosed in March this year with stage 4 osteosarcoma, an aggressive form of bone cancer. The 10-year-old who is from Mason County, West Virginia kept a positive attitude throughout his ordeal.

In early August, Lewis’ family brought him home for hospice care. The local community came together to line the streets with signs welcoming the young boy home as he rode through in an ambulance.

His family released a statement on his Facebook page saying, “This evening Lewie took his last breath and went to heaven. Please keep Tabbie, his siblings, and all family in your prayers. We thank everyone for all the prayers and love.”
