Jeff Kimball had no idea his daughters made a video that would soon be shared on Ellen’s Greatest Night of Giveaways.

In their emotional clip, Lexi and Elyse described the heartache and pain they’d been facing ever since their mother died.

Lexi and Elyse were just little girls when their mom, Amy, passed away from cancer. Jeff was thrust into life as a grieving widower and single father, now tasked with learning how to raise his growing daughters on his own.

He also lost his job — but remained a committed and determined dad.

The Kimballs were called up to the couch during the premiere of Ellen’s three-night holiday special, co-hosted by Jennifer Aniston.

Jeff revealed that his wife was a huge fan of Ellen, and that her character from “Finding Dory” inspired her fight against cancer.

“She was going in for a 13-hour surgery,” Jeff recalled. “The last thing I did was blow her a kiss and say, ‘Just keep swimming.’”

That’s when Ellen gave the Kimballs their first surprise. While the unsuspecting family was at the taping of her talk show, the producers had been working tirelessly on decorating their house for the holidays in the most beautiful way.

But that was just the first of the unbelievable surprises to come, and the segment was so emotional that Jennifer was moved to tears.
