Caitlyn Jenner is having a moment as she films her season of I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here, and all of a sudden the former co-head of the Kardashian-Jenner household is speaking out… a lot.
When Caitlyn celebrated her birthday recently, fans of the family noticed that Khloé Kardashian was missing. It seemed odd since the rest of the family came out in full force. No one really explained why Khloé was absent, and the world kind of moved on from the story.
Or we thought the world did, except apparently Caitlyn has not. In a recent interview with radio DJ Roman Kemp, Caitlyn decided to explain Khloé’s absence. It turns out that Caitlyn and Khloé have not spoken for about five years, dating back to Caitlyn’s transition and the release of her memoir, The Secrets Of My Life.
Caitlyn explained that she came out to each of her kids in turn. “The first was the kids. I started with Brandon my son and he said to me ‘Dad, I’ve always been so proud to be your son but I’ve never been more proud of you than right now. I went through every kid and Khloe for some reason was pissed off about something through this whole process. It’s been five or six years and I really haven’t talked to her since.”
After being asked if Caitlyn thinks Khloé’s issues are more about Khloé than Caitlyn, she replied, “I don’t know, we were really close, I raised her since she was five years old, I really don’t know what her issues are.”
So the plot thickens! If there’s one thing we can all count on, it’s that the family will likely eventually address the tension… perhaps in an episode of Keeping Up. Stay tuned!
