Here’s something that should put a smile on your face, which is something we could all use right about now.
Ivy Janzen and her husband, Nick, recently brought their 5-month-old daughter, Kira, to Walmart. They planned to pick up a few things for dinner, but little did they know that a cute, impromptu moment would make them a viral sensation.
While browsing the electronics section, Nick lifted Kira up to the television monitor. Apparently, Kira loves being the center of attention, so she was more than happy to see her face staring right back at her.
Knowing this would make for the picture-perfect snapshot, Ivy quickly snapped a photo that showed Kira’s curious face staring right into the camera, putting her on display for all the shoppers to see.
Ivy says the Walmart employees were all standing around laughing. She sent the photo to her sister, who posted the image to Twitter.
The rest, as they say, is history. It wasn’t long before the photo of Kira’s huge, adorable face went viral with 43 million views!
Ivy and Nick didn’t think anyone would even see it other than their family and friends.
Now, they’re so grateful for sharing the photo at a time when people could use a little boost.
“I’ve read a lot of the comments and a lot of them were like ‘this is the funniest thing I’ve seen all day,’ ‘This made me smile.’ And so I think it’s nice to bring a smile to people’s faces … right now especially.”
