Pregnant Woman Was Killed By A Drunk Driver, But Her Unborn Baby Girl Survived Against All Odds

In August 2020, 23-year-old Yesenia Aguilar was outside with her husband, James, in Anaheim, California. They were exercising together when a suspected drunk driver struck Yesenia on the sidewalk and killed her.

Yesenia was pregnant at the time. Her due date wasn’t until the end of September.

She was immediately rushed to the hospital so doctors could perform an emergency C-section, in the hopes of saving her unborn daughter.

Miraculously, Adalyn Rose was delivered more than a month early. Her father, James — now a widower left to raise her on his own — says the birth has been a shining light within the heavy darkness.

“When I see her, when I hold her, when I put her on my chest, everything just washes away,” he told CBS.

The suspect in the crash that killed Yesenia has been charged with second-degree murder.

In the clip below, James shares an amazing update about baby Adalyn and describes how Yesenia is still there with him, watching him from above as he prepares to bring their daughter home.
