Rumors are flying that Meghan Markle is pregnant again following a judge’s recent decision to push back Meghan’s trial date by approximately nine months. Meghan’s legal team in London filed a motion to delay the trial from January 2021 to the fall, and the motion was approved.
No concrete reason was given for Meghan’s request, with court documents citing only a “confidential matter.” While there’s been no confirmation of a second pregnancy, the length of the delay is raising plenty of eyebrows, especially after recent reports that Meghan and Harry are keen to give son Archie a sibling.
Meghan is currently locked in a legal dispute with the Associated Newspapers, the company that owns Mail on Sunday. She sued the company after it published a private letter that she wrote to her father, Thomas Markle. The trial is expected to take place in London next year over the course of eight to ten days.
Meghan’s team has also asked for a summary judgment in the case, which would make an entire trial pointless and unnecessary. Chris Ship, ITV News’s royal editor, explained the reasoning.
“They say it’s because they are so confident of their case in law and will argue tomorrow that the case should be determined on a ‘summary basis,’” he said. This essentially means the judge in the case would be allowed to make a ruling based on evidence each side has submitted, and it would render a trial completely moot.
Harry and Meghan moved to California in March 2020, and they have generally appeared to enjoy their life there with Archie. While they reportedly considered Los Angeles as a home base for a while, the couple ultimately fell in love with Montecito.
A source recently told Us Weekly that “Meghan visited Montecito in her teens and fell in love with the picturesque scenery and stunning architecture. Moving there was always an option, but to begin with, she and Harry wanted to give Los Angeles a shot. Unfortunately, Harry absolutely hated it — the timing was so wrong amid the pandemic and they lacked privacy. An added bonus is that Montecito is only just over an hour’s drive from L.A., which is where a majority of their work is based, yet far enough away to escape the crowds, paparazzi, and tourism in Hollywood.”
