There’s officially a tiny tennis powerhouse in the making!
Serena Williams has long teased the possibility that 3-year-old daughter Alexis Olympia might follow in her footsteps. Now, the little girl is doing just that.
Serena took to her Instagram Stories, proud to announce she’d officially attained “tennis mom” status. Instead of teaching the little one on her own, she signed her up for lessons to get started. Serena herself has been playing since she was four, so it only makes sense she’d get Olympia started early.
We were lucky enough to get a sneak peek at what the mother-daughter duo would look like on the court together earlier this summer. Serena shared a picture of her and Olympia in matching tennis outfits after a day of fun together.
It’s wonderful to see the sport that’s enriched Serena’s life so much is something she can share with her little girl. Whether or not Olympia ends up going pro, it’s a beautiful way for mom and daughter to bond.
