A hunter once decided to take a relaxing safari trip with his wife. Unfortunately for him, the plan also included his mother-in-law—something he accepted with the enthusiasm of a man heading straight into danger.
From the moment they arrived, the mother-in-law had something to say about everything.
“The air is too dry.”
“The food is strange.”
“These animals don’t look friendly.”
The husband smiled politely, silently thinking the animals probably felt the same way.
One morning, the wife woke up and noticed something odd.
“Where’s Mom?” she asked.
The husband stretched and replied, “Maybe she went out to reorganize the jungle.”
But as minutes passed, it became clear—she was actually missing.
Panic kicked in.
“We have to find her!” the wife cried.
With a heavy sigh, the husband agreed, and they both headed out into the wild to search.
After walking for a while, they suddenly reached a clearing—and froze.
There stood the mother-in-law… face-to-face with a huge, ferocious lion.
The wife gasped. “Oh my God!”
The lion looked serious. The mother-in-law looked terrified.
“Quick, darling!” the wife shouted. “Do something!”
The husband calmly crossed his arms and said, “Oh no.”
The wife stared at him. “What do you mean, ‘oh no’? Help her!”
He nodded toward the lion and replied,
“That lion got himself into this mess… let him get himself out.”
For a moment, everything went quiet.
Even the lion seemed unsure what to do next.
After a few seconds, it slowly backed away, as if realizing it had made a terrible mistake.
Because even in the wild, there are some situations no one wants to deal with.
