You Don’t Need Money Or Gold To Be Rich

“You don’t need money or gold to be rich. All you need is God in your life.”

We receive something far more precious when we give up our material possessions. God will treat us as a loving parent when we humble ourselves before him and approach him with empty hands.

We must consider God’s greatness as our tremendous prize in comparison to all else in the world. If we don’t, we’ll end up loving the world and living like everyone else.

So consider the things that influence the world and how much greater and more faithful God is than money, power, or popularity. You should consider these points.

First, consider their relationship to death. Death will take everything away, including money, power, and popularity. If that is your goal, you will not get very far, and whatever you do get, you will lose. But God’s value is “living.” It lasts. It goes beyond death.

In every possible way, the world will tell us that we must strive for wealth, power, and position. There are some really greedy people in our world, and it is clear that they have fallen into the trap of believing that worldly possessions will provide them with value. However, we are all susceptible to this trap.

We’re all quite sure it makes sense to save a little money for a rainy day. I think that’s smart, but we have to watch out that we don’t let our possessions define who we are and that we don’t turn into ignorant and greedy people. Furthermore, if our possessions are preventing us from fully following God, we must be prepared to let them go.

That is comparable to what Jesus stated in Matthew: “If your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away.” It is better to lose part of your body than to have your entire body go to hell.”
