“God is above you to bless you before you to guide you, behind you to protect you, beside you to comfort you, and inside you to sustain you.”
We will never fully understand why or what will happen to us, but we can be assured that God is comforting us in all of our afflictions so that we can console others in need with the same comfort that God is providing for us.
There are moments in my life when I forget to rely on God for protection because I think I should be able to handle everything on my own. There are other moments when I look in the wrong place for support and instead of turning to God for the assurance I need.
I’ve experienced loneliness at various points in my life. It’s as if the rest of the world is preoccupied with other things, leaving me behind. However, no matter where I travel, I can be confident that God is with me at all times.
If we allow God to encompass our entire life, we will know we are on the right track. He is beside us, above us, ahead of us, and behind us. When we are surrounded by such splendor, we can deal with anything that comes our way.
When you obey God’s will, he blesses you more than you could ever ask or imagine. Some of these rewards will become apparent and tangible to you right away. Some people will not realize or recognize the blessing until long later. Some you will not see in person, but they will count toward the amazing treasures you have stored up in Heaven.
