Two friends were taking a walk through a beautiful nature park when they spotted a rare and adorable squirrel sitting on a tree branch.
One of them whispered,
“That’s amazing! We should take it home.”
His friend looked around nervously.
“If a park ranger catches us, we’ll be in serious trouble. If you’re going to do it, hide it somewhere.”
After thinking for a moment, the first man said,
“I’ll hide it inside my pants. Nobody’s going to check there.”
So he carefully tucked the squirrel away, and the two friends headed toward the park exit.
Just as they reached the gate, a park ranger stopped them.
“Good afternoon, gentlemen,” he said. “Did either of you take anything from the park?”
Both men quickly shook their heads.
“No, sir.”
At that moment, the man hiding the squirrel started twitching and making strange noises.
The ranger raised an eyebrow.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes… absolutely,” they replied.
A few seconds later, the man suddenly yelped, jumped into the air, and pulled the squirrel out of his pants.
The ranger immediately arrested both of them.
Later, sitting in their jail cell, the first friend complained,
“You idiot! Why did you pull the squirrel out? We almost got away!”
The other man groaned and replied,
“Listen… when it started nibbling, I stayed calm.”
“When it tried climbing higher, I held on.”
“But when it started trying to hide its acorns in there… I just couldn’t take it anymore!”
