When Some Make You Feel Safe….

When someone makes you feel safe. Safe to express. Safe to feel, Safe to speak, Safe to think, Just safe. I love that. I love an emotionally validating human. I love being active listener. I love reciprocity.

A loving and successful relationship starts with emotional safety. It’s all about building trust and having the confidence to be really honest and upfront with someone.

In a nutshell, emotional safety is the ability to feel confident enough to be who you really are and express yourself fully to someone.

A strong foundation of a healthy partnership is emotional safety. If all parties feel safe, loved, and respected in a relationship, then most people would consider it to be healthy. Furthermore, aren’t we all hoping to be in an environment where our social ties provide us with a sense of security? But what does feeling safe in a relationship actually mean? And why does it matter so much?

When you feel safe in a relationship, you may be who you really are without worrying about rejection or judgment. It is important to feel seen, heard and understood. Moreover, safety in a relationship entails feeling worthwhile and respected even when you demonstrate your shortcomings and weaknesses.

We feel comfortable when we are allowed to be ourselves in our relationships and refuse things without feeling pressure to justify our actions. In emotionally secure relationships, individuals can be authentic and transparent with one another without compromising their involvement.

In a secure relationship, you experience love, trust, and value. It is your right to be truly happy in any relationship, therefore making sure you and your partner feel safe should come first. Safety in a relationship refers to having physical as well as emotional security. You trust your spouse completely and it comes easily to you to understand them better when you feel safe with them. As it should be, you also feel secure and vulnerable around them.

More importantly, an emotionally secure relationship strengthens the bond between both of them.
