I don’t believe in luck…I believe in miracles
Do you think that miracles happen? Or do you believe they are simply too good to be true? Maybe you think it’s all luck, or you don’t think you deserve to be blessed with them.
There are a lot of miracles happening in our lives every day if we just slow down and pay attention. We just need to pay attention. Now, I want to share one of my miracles with you. However, I need you to respond to this question first:
Do you think you could find a lost diamond ring again? And if you did, would you think it was the result of divine power, fate, chance, or luck?
I found one day that my diamond rings were missing when I got home from work. I started to panic right away. How could I forget where they went? I looked all over everywhere in my car, on the counters, and in my pockets. I can’t recall what I did or how they vanished. I only remembered that I had been wearing them and now I just lost them. I loved those rings very much, and they were also rather pricey.
I read the dua at that precise moment with complete trust and certainty that it would be returned to me if Allah willed it, just as I had been instructed to do as a child whenever I lost something.
“Hasbunallah hu wa ni’mal wakeel”
I was beginning to lose hope, though, as the days went by. I have been trying to be calm and keep reading my duas ever since I learned my rings were missing.
I was informed by my manager a few days later that someone had turned in those rings. My feelings of appreciation and humility were overwhelming. In the work parking lot, they were discovered. And this is how a miracle happens and I found my lost rings. Indeed, nothing can happen without Allah’s permission and will.
